TULSA, OK -- They've talked. They've surveyed. They've mapped. Now, PlaniTulsa unveils four ideas for the city's future development. The group held a party in downtown Tulsa on Tuesday night to introduce the plans and find out what Tulsans think.
One of the ideas makes a big push for development in downtown Tulsa. They're calling it Downtown on Steroids. And, it's just one of the directions developers say Tulsans want to go.
Hundreds of residents filled Cain's Ballroom for the coming out party of sorts.
"I'm so excited about this. I wish we had done this 10 or 15 years ago. It will provide a guide to the kind of growth Tulsa needs," said Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor.
PlaniTulsa's mission was to develop a comprehensive, long-range plan for the city's growth. After eight months, dozens of meetings, and input from more than 2,000 Tulsans, they've come up with four scenarios for the future.
